Irish or British? We need to talk about Northern Ireland…

In this week's episode I'll be talking about the controversial topic of nationality in relation to Northern Ireland. As someone from Belfast, this is something that I get asked about A LOT so I thought I'd use this episode as a way to help explain the situation. It's...

Kerry is such a wonderful teacher. She is very responsible and reliable, always keen on helping you. You can ask her about improving communication skills or widing your range of vocabulary as well and she is always happy to give you a hand and to look for new and exciting activities in order to engage you more and more in English culture, such as song lyrics, films or tv series (Thanks to her, I even read my first ‘real’ book in English, not an adaptation, ‘Angela’s ashes’). Since I’ve known her I’ve really improved my level, and the most important thing, finally I don’t feel embarrassed when speaking English. Not only did I get my C1 certification but I also enjoyed the process and discovered new countries (she encouraged me to visit Ireland and Northern Ireland). Thanks, Kerry! You’re great!!

Kerry’s blog is fully advisable for any student of English who wants to improve or update their English. The best part is that it’s not the usual thing, quite the reverse: it provides you with really useful tips, the articles are short and it’s got different categories of topics that make it entertaining. I’ve really enjoyed the articles you can read as you listen to them and Taylor Swift’s song. You shouldn’t miss it!
