Welcome back everyone! This is a special episode of the Clover English Podcast because this week I’m in conversation with Éoin from Bitesize Irish Gaelic .

In the last couple of episodes I’ve been exploring the Irish language and its development both in the Republic of Ireland and in Northern Ireland. However, today I get to talk with someone whose life is very much involved and linked to the Irish language. We have a great chat not only about the Irish language but also language learning in general and Irish culture.

This is a fantastic opportunity for you to develop your listening skills because whilst I try to speak as naturally as possible in each episode at the end of the day, I’m presenting. In this monologue/presenter form, I have to speak more clearly and therefore it’s easier for you to understand. However, conversations don’t work that way. We interrupt each other, we laugh, we lose our train of thought…

That’s one of the reasons why I want to include authentic conversations in the podcast so that you can really fine-tune your listening skills. This episode unfortunately doesn’t come with the usual PDF guide because I’m busy preparing for the birth of my daughter (due in two weeks!)

Check out the Bitesize Irish Gaelic Podcast: an English speaking podcast full of inspiration on language learning and information about Irish culture & the Irish language. It’s perfect for all you language & culture nerds out there!
